Sarah Poole is an Australian Lawyer, Registered Trade Marks Attorney (AU & NZ) and the Managing Director of Marquette IP.

Inherently believing in the power of a brand as a key digital asset for any business, Sarah works to advise clients on unlocking their IP assets to achieved desired commercial objectives for their business.

In terms of her traditional skill-set, Sarah specialises in trade mark, copyright and brand protection matters, with a focus on identifying and protecting intellectual property for global businesses.

Her practice includes working across a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including trade mark clearance and brand name selection advice (at both a local and global scale), trade mark prosecution and registration services, trade mark portfolio management advice and strategy, IP disputes and IP commercialisation including negotiating and brokering licensing and royalty deals.

Sarah has a particular passion for international brand protection and works with a large number of international companies on protecting and managing their IP in global markets. She has worked on a number of high-profile brand clearance and global filing programmes, most recently successfully clearing a brand name for registration by a prominent global tech company in 150+ jurisdictions.

Sarah routinely expands on the traditional practice of IP law by providing consultancy to a number of innovatively led B2B organisations to maximise investment in intellectual property assets and safeguard the development of unencumbered brands – this includes ongoing clearance advice to brand and technology agencies, as well as board appointments Working alongside companies wishing to scale their businesses globally.
